Brandi Jensen had 9 and Katheryne DeHate 4. And in the title game, the girls defeated Fertile-Beltrami 19-14. Brandi Jensen had 11 and Katheryne DeHate 4. Coach Randy Pederson stated, “The girls were outstanding today defensively. They have begun to understand what we are teaching and it showed. We substitute 5 at a time, and the second unit consisting of Holly Vettleson, Shawnee Styles, Morgan Bushelle, Mikayla Burman, and Michelle Sundquist played often and played well, giving the starters much needed rest. These girls have battled 7th and 8th graders all year, so it was enjoyable seeing them compete with confidence and intensity at grade level.” The girls’ next tournament is in Grygla on Saturday, February 20th.

PENNIES FOR PATIENTS:  Everybody loves Pizza! Pizza is Benjamin’s favorite food too. Benjamin who is just 3 years old needs cancer treatments until July 2012. His family says “Ben may not be with us today if it weren’t for fundraising for cures.” Remember your class can win a Pizza party for your hard work raising funds for children with blood cancers. Keep the money coming for Pennies for Patients!
